Summer Glass Camp

Summer Glass Camp is a summertime tradition at WMGAC. Campers will learn glassblowing, bead making, kiln fusing, lampworking, sand casting and other glass arts. Camp ends with a gallery exhibit open house for family and friends of the campers. Campers will be invited to show their work at a fall exhibit at the Portage District Library.
Summer Camp Schedule

Glass Explorers
Three-day camp for beginning glass artists ages 10 to 18. This camp will explore beginning techniques used to create glass art. Campers will make a sculpted glass paperweight in the Hot Shop and create glass art using kiln fusing, lampworking, bead making, sand casting and sand blasting.
 Teen Glass Blowing
Three-day intensive teen glass camp focusing on glass blowing, lampworking, bead making, sand blasting and kiln fusing. Campers must be 12 years of age or older (no experience needed).
Teen Glass Inferno
Four-day camp for advanced glass artists ages 12 to 18. This camp will focus on advanced techniques used to create glass art. Campers will make blown glass projects in the Hot Shop - create glass art using kiln fusing, lampworking, bead making, kiln casting, grinding, polishing, and finishing.
