Introduction to kiln-fused glass. Students will learn to design, shape, assemble and uniquely create a variety of glass art projects including dichroic glass jewelry, a coaster, and a small slumped bowl. Skills covered include cutting, grinding, use of glass saw, inclusions (mica, bronze, copper), glass paints and slumping. Work with different kinds of glass, keep a firing log, learn kiln shelf preparation, firing schedules and their effects on glass. Finish your projects with various findings and wire wrapping.
